When I first heard the term “virtual assistant” I was immediately intrigued. And as I learned more about what it all entails, my fascination only grew. Being a virtual assistant has so many benefits to it. The main one is having the ability to be your own boss and choose when you want to work, what you want to charge and so on!
So, if you want to learn more about this remote job option, keep on scrollin’!
A virtual assistant is an independent contractor who provides services to clients remotely. Examples of services you can offer is Pinterest management, Instagram scheduling, blogging, admin work, and so on!
Virtual assistants work with many different niches but some of the main niches VA’s work with are photographers, influencers, e-commerce businesses, realtors, coaches, wedding creatives, and more.
As a virtual assistant, your services/packages are primarily up to you! If you’re wanting to have your niche with photographers per se, then your services should be based around social media management and admin work. Want help with figuring out what services to offer? I cover that in my 6-week mentorship program! Click here to reach out for more info!
Virtual assistants can charge anywhere from $35/hr to $60/hr (yes, you read that right). If you work hard enough, you can easily make six figures per year! I personally was able to hit that milestone in my first year!
Alright, buckle up because this is going to be a lot! First things first, you need to make an Instagram. Think of your Instagram as your resume. It must look professional but portray your personality! Create graphics, take some photos of yourself, share your services, and start filming reels! After this, I highly suggest creating a couple of accounts to make your business run smoothly. You’ll want to make accounts through honeybook, dropbox, a business email, etc. These are just a couple of things you’ll need on top of many others. Be sure to create a contract in place for future clients, and create a service guide that you can send to clients when they inquire with you.
And, as I said, if you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t worry! I offer a 6-week mentorship program that teaches everything you need to know about being a VA. If you’d like to learn more, be sure to click here to contact me!
